You can even use it to resolve conflicts (especially with Git). I am able to use the ahk_class style of window matching, and have been using that for the most part, but the problem is this particular program uses ahk_class QWidget, which is a standard class used by any Qt based program, including P4V, so I need something more specific than that. P4Merge tracks and compares the effects of past and pending work for branches and individual files. This is what I am trying to use:Īnd that does not work either. It DOES work if I copy the entire window title for the specific test I am working on over, but not if I try to get it to do a partial match.

So clearly the default window matching will not work, so I have been trying to get either mode 2 or RegEx to work, and neither of them are working. But, unlike when I used Beyond Compare, P4Merge pops up a window asking for the two files to compare when I have merge conflicts.

Where 'blah blah' changes depending on the file it is displaying a diff for. gitconfig : diff tool p4merge difftool 'p4merge' path C:Program FilesPerforcep4merge.exe merge tool p4merge mergetool 'p4merge' path C:Program FilesPerforcep4merge.exe Im working on Windows 7 and I just typed commands in the tutorial I gave in my post. I followed the config steps to get P4Merge set as my Git merge tool in Windows. P4merge is a visual tool for diffing and merging files and it allows us to view the difference between files across time and across code lines. The Window title for this object is something like: Specifically, I want to bind some hot keys only to P4Merge (from Perforce). I am running this on 64-bit Windows 7, and I am having problems with the windo title matching. I am not sure if this is a Windows 7 problem, or something else.
